The service life of the Bridge Crane
Bridge crane is an important industrial equipment widely used in various fields. It is composed of bridges and hoisting machinery, and is mainly used for hoisting and carrying heavy objects. However, any machine has a lifespan. The formulation of service life standards for bridge cranes is to ensure their safe and stable operation and avoid accidents.
At present, the country does not have a uniform standard for the service life of bridge cranes, but has formulated different standards according to different models and manufacturers.
Generally speaking, there are two standards for the service life of 20 ton bridge cranes, one is time limit, and the other is life limit.

The time limit means that the service life of the bridge crane should be within a certain time range, such as 10 years, 15 years, 20 years, etc., and it needs to be replaced or overhauled if it exceeds this number of years. This standard applies to most bridge cranes, which can effectively control their service life and avoid potential safety hazards caused by overuse.
In general, the safe service life of the heaviest clamp cranes, grab cranes, electromagnetic cranes, etc. is about 20 years;
Loading cranes, rake cranes, etc. are about 25 years; forging cranes, casting cranes are more than 30 years, and general bridge cranes are 40-50 years.
The actual service life depends on the specific working conditions and may be longer or shorter.

Another criterion is the life limit, that is, the service life of the bridge crane should be evaluated according to the service life. Generally speaking, the life of an overhead crane depends on its frequency of use, environmental conditions, maintenance and other factors. This standard requires detailed monitoring and evaluation of the use of the machine, so it is more complicated, but it can more accurately determine the service life of the bridge crane.
No matter which standard is adopted, the service life of the bridge crane must be tested and evaluated by a professional testing organization to ensure that it meets the requirements of the standard. If it is found that there is a large safety hazard in the overhead crane, it is necessary to repair or replace the equipment as soon as possible to ensure the safety of the working environment.
