Steel structure
1. All steel material must be inspected by professional QC before storing. Such like: material, size, configuration, weight and allowable deviation. National standard: GB/T700-2006, GB/T 709-2006, GB/T3274-2007, GB/T1591-2008.
2. All weld groove form, size, welding materials are required to strictly abide by welding procedure specification and blueprint requirements; And ensure the welding quality, the test items include: appearance detection, nondestructive testing (radiographic testing, ultrasonic testing, testing, penetrant magnetic particle testing) etc. To ensure the welding qualified referring to national standard of: GB/T 3323-2005, JB/T10559-2006, and JB/T6062-2007.
The following Seven are commonly used:
1. RT : Radiographic Testing
2. UT : Ultrasonic Testing
3. PT : Penetration Testing
4. MT : Magnetic Particle Testing (Magnetic Testing)
5. ET : Electromagnetism or Eddy current Testing
6. Coating Testing
7. Metal Hardness Testing
Radiographic Testing (RT)
X ray, Y ray or neutron ray test material's discontinuity, and show the image on recording medium to inspect its inside defect. This testing is direct but expensive.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Use ultrasonic to detect its defects, this is suitable for detection of kinds of metal materials, the internal defect. lt is often used for pipe, plate, bar and weld; The test is fast, low cost, and wide application.
Penetration Testing (PT)
Penetrant testing is done by applying a penetrant, removing excess with a cleaner, and if necessary, applying a developer to get an indication of certain defects on the part that are open to the surface.
Magnetic Testing (MT)
Using magnetic leakage and appropriate test to find the discontinuity on specimen surface and near surface.
Magnetic Particle Testing (ET)
Magnetic particle testing is a non-destructive testing method that uses magnetic flux leakage and a suitable test medium to find discontinuities on the surface and near the surface of the test piece.
Electromagnetic (eddy current) testing is a non-destructive testing method that is applied to the eddy current in the test piece (the induced current generated on the conductor surface and near the surface due to the change of the external magnetic field in time or space ), and analyzes the quality information of the test piece.
Coating testing
In order to ensure that the quality of coating, the coating film performance testing mainly includes the mechanical properties (such as thickness, adhesion, gloss, etc.) and special properties (such as corrosion resistance, oil resistance, acid resistance, etc.) .
The test instrument include: coating thickness tester, tester, the adhesion tester, film gridding instrument, etc.
Metal hardness testing
Mainly use static test method, like HB, HRC, HV, HL.HB and HRC are the main method and used more. HB is widely used, HRC is suitable for surface high hardness material, such as heat treatment hardness, etc., to detect metal material's resistance ability by hard objects.
These items above There is no so-called sequence of detection, it is carried out along with the processing procedure. There is no reason to do flaw detection after the crane is manufactured, and you can be told that it is unqualified without inspection! That is, every process is instrumented.
Note: It is impossible to carry out testing one by one, which is too costly and unrealistic (time requirements, cost requirements, manpower requirements, number of testing equipment, and work space are all limited). In mass production, parts are inspected randomly , and there are special scientific methods.
