How to inspect the purchased European style Overhead Crane?

 

The limit distance between the hook and the wall of a European-style crane is small and the clearance is high, so the lifting height is higher, which actually increases the effective working space of the existing factory building. Since the crane has the characteristics of light weight and small wheel pressure, the new factory space can be designed to be smaller and more functional.

 

A smaller factory building means considerable savings in initial construction investment, as well as long-term heating, air conditioning and other maintenance costs. So how to inspect a second-hand European-style bridge crane?

 

 

How to inspect the bridge machine?

 

1. Appearance: Clean appearance, no dust, no paint peeling off. Check for cracks and welds.

 

Cranes and Trolleys: Check for and tighten loose driveshaft seats, gearboxes, couplings, shafts and keys.

 

2. Check whether the European single-girder and double-girder bridge crane reducers are leaking oil. If there are abnormal noises inside the box, open the lid and check. It is usually caused by bearing damage, excessive gear meshing clearance, and severe tooth surface wear.

 

Lifting trolley: Check whether the wire rope, hook, and pulley are safe and reliable. If the wear exceeds the specified value, it should be replaced. Check and adjust the brakes to make them safe, responsive and reliable.

 

 

3. European single and double girder bridge crane wire rope inspection. The inspection of wire ropes should focus on observing the breakage, wear, kinks, rust and other conditions of the wire ropes.

 

For some serious wear and tear but not exceeding the standard position, they should be marked for key points to be tracked and re-inspected.

 

Pay attention to check whether the safety limiter of the wire rope in the drum is effective, whether the pressure of the wire rope on the drum is compressed, and whether the number of compression tools is appropriate.

 

Check the quality of the lubricant or replace it if necessary.

 

4. European single-girder and double-girder bridge crane pulley inspection. The key is whether there is excessive wear at the bottom of the groove and whether there are cracks in the cast iron pulley. The balance wheel of the lifting mechanism pulley group moves abnormally and is easily overlooked. Therefore, rotation flexibility must be checked before installation. Otherwise, the balance wheel cannot actively adjust the length and tension of the left and right suspension wire ropes, which increases the difficulty and dangerous level of operation of the entire suspension wire rope in high air conditioning.

 

 

5. Electrical: Check the sensitivity and reliability of the limit switch; check the sensitivity and reliability of all electrical equipment in the electrical box; check the safety and reliability of the motor, bell housing and wires; check whether the signal lights are intact.

 

6. Check whether the connection of European single-girder and double-girder bridge cranes is loose, or even "hobbing keys", especially whether the elastic rubber ring connected by the elastic pin has abnormal wear, etc.
