Standards For Scrapping Parts Of Shipbuilding Bridge Cranes

As a very important production facility, bridge cranes are widely used in production activities.
We know that bridge cranes are made up of various parts.
In use, all components will be damaged.
So, what is the scrap standard for bridge crane parts?

Scrapping standards for bridge crane hooks:
There are cracks and cracks in the surface of the hook. If a crack is found, it should be replaced immediately, and repair welding is not allowed;
When the working section (rope) of the hook is worn to 10% of the original height, it should be scrapped;
When the hook mouth, hook neck and dangerous section are deformed, they should be scrapped;
When the hook opening exceeds 15% of the original size, it should be scrapped;
If there are knife marks or cracks in the hook tail and thread transition section, it should be discarded.

Scrap standards for bridge brake wheels:
When the claw marks on the working surface of the brake wheel or the radial wear depth reach 1.5mm, the brake wheel should be reprocessed and heat treated;
The brake wheel of the lifting mechanism should be scrapped when the wear amount exceeds 40% of the original thickness;
When the brake wheel wear of the operating mechanism exceeds 60% of the original thickness, it should be scrapped.

Scrap standards for axle wheels:
Wheels with one of the following conditions should be scrapped:
crack. The wear amount of the thickness is 50% of the original thickness. The wear amount of the tread pattern thickness is 15% of the original thickness;
When the running speed is lower than 50m/min, the contour line reaches 1mm; or when the running speed is higher than 50m/min, the contour line reaches 0.5mm;
When the wheel diameter is less than 500mm, the damaged diameter is greater than 1mm; or when the wheel diameter is greater than 500mm, the damaged diameter is greater than 1.5mm, the depth is greater than 3mm, and there are more than 5 damages.
