Common faults of electric winch:

1. In the process of operating the winch, sometimes blue smoke from the motor may be encountered. This phenomenon may be caused by the excessive clearance of the piston and cylinder liner, the piston ring and the cylinder liner are not well run in, and the oil is due to some reasons. Into the cylinder, etc., for different situations, its processing method is not the same:

(1) The matching clearance of the piston cylinder liner is too large.

Treatment method: repair or replace the piston and cylinder liner.

(2) The installation direction of the piston ring group of the winch is wrong, the opening is not staggered or the piston oil ring fails.

Treatment method: Check the piston, find out the cause, repair or replace the piston ring.

(3) The valve guide is worn too much, and the oil penetrates into the cylinder from the valve guide and valve stem gap to burn.

Treatment method: Check that the gap between the valve guide and the valve stem is too large and replace it in time.

(4) The piston ring and the cylinder liner are not run in well.

Treatment method: continue to run in.

(5) Oil enters the cylinder for some reasons.

Treatment method: find the cause of the oil entering, avoid it, and remove the oil entering the cylinder.

(6) Too much oil in the oil pan.

Treatment method: Check the oil level and remove the excess oil.

2. After the winch is started, the motor does not rotate and the heavy objects cannot be lifted. In this case, please do not worry. First, eliminate the following 5 situations. If all are excluded, please consult an engineer.

(1) Excessive overload.

Solution: Overload operation is not allowed.

(2) The voltage is unstable.

Treatment method: Wait for the voltage to return to normal.

(3) There is a fault in the electrical appliance, the wire is disconnected or the release is not good.

Treatment method: Check and maintain electrical appliances and lines.

(4) The brakes are locked.

Treatment method: Remove the brake wheel and clean the rusted surface.

(5) The power introduction cable is too thin and too long, and the brake wheel cannot be disengaged.

Solution: replace the cable.

3. The reducer has large vibration, high noise and bearing heat.

This phenomenon is generally related to the reducer and bearings.

The gears of the reducer are damaged, worn, the clearance is too large, the bearings are broken, jammed, the connecting screws are loose, and the sealing ring is damaged.

Treatment method: find out the reason for this, and take measures such as replacing parts, tightening screws, and changing lubricating oil.

4. Couplings, keys and keyways are damaged.

Couplings, keys and keyways tend to crack, wear and break after a hoist has been used for a period of time.

Treatment method: timely overhaul, replace parts, prepare new keys and repair keyways.

5. The controller fails.

There are many reasons for the failure of the controller, for example, it is caused by the fault of the contact and the bite position and the positioning mechanism.

Treatment method: The contacts should be trimmed, and the positioning pins should be repaired.

If the controller contacts are severely burned.

Treatment method: The new controller should be replaced in time, and the standard use of full load should be reduced, so that the contacts are in good contact.

6. Brake failure.

During the working process, the brake cannot be restrained or released, and its transmission parts are stuck.

This kind of failure is generally caused by oil pollution, spring fatigue, brake band wear, bending deformation, burnout of the electromagnet coil, and voltage lower than 85% of the rated value, etc. It will cause the hanging object to fall in the hoisting accident.

Treatment method: Clean oil stains with kerosene in time, replace damaged parts, and adjust spring pressure and related clearances.
