Metal structure precautions

 

The metal structure of the overhead travelling crane should have the strength, rigidity and stability to meet the safe use, and generally should meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 3811-1983 "Crane Design Code".

 

The crane structure design must take into account the convenience and possibility of manufacturing, transportation, installation and maintenance, inspection, etc. The structure of the crane working in the open air must avoid water accumulation.

 

The selection of base material thickness of main structural parts such as main beam, end beam, trolley frame and spreader beam should be based on the actual working environment of the crane, considering the influence of structural corrosion and service life.

 

When the crane main beam loses its overall stability, it is not allowed to be repaired and should be scrapped.

 

When the main beam of the travelling crane, the end beam, the trolley frame, the beam of the spreader and other main structural elements have obvious corrosion, they should be inspected, measured and calculated. When the calculated carrying capacity cannot reach the rated carrying capacity, it should be repaired to meet the requirements of use, or reformed to reduce the rated lifting weight, otherwise it should be scrapped.

 

When the rated lifting weight is reduced, the modification nameplate and the rated lifting weight mark shall be added.

 

When the main beam of the crane, the end beam, the trolley frame, the beam of the sling and other main stress structural parts have cracks, the travelling crane should be stopped in use, only the impact of the crack and take measures to prevent the crack from continuing to expand the safety evaluation to confirm that it can be used, or replace the cracked structural parts, it can continue to use, otherwise it should be scrapped.
