Precautions for Electric Aerial Work Platforms in Low Temperature Environment
As we all know, various mechanical equipment are often used in building construction, and aerial work equipment is one of the more common ones.
However, due to the large temperature difference between regions, the low temperature in many regions of the world has brought great inconvenience to the use of aerial work platforms and aerial lifts.
How to use high-altitude equipment correctly in low temperature? How to maintain aerial work equipment during shutdown to survive the winter safely? It has become a question that lingers on everyone's mind.
China has entered winter, and the temperature in many places has been below 15 degrees or even lower, so what points should be paid attention to when using aerial work platforms in winter?

First of all, the low temperature at night in winter will greatly affect the battery life. Therefore, the storage environment of the aerial work platform should be indoors, preferably in a place where the temperature cannot be too low. Be sure to avoid placing the aerial lift outdoors for a long time in the severe cold season.
If the large lifting platform needs to be operated outdoors and is inconvenient to move, then protective measures should also be taken. The battery should be placed in a place with a higher indoor temperature to prevent the battery from being damaged by low temperature.

Secondly, before using the aerial work platform in winter, check the parts of each part, especially the oil pipes, wires, etc. After turning on the power, try it out with an empty vehicle to ensure that it can be used normally before going up to the platform for operation.
When using the high-altitude evaluation platform, you should always pay attention to the change of the power, and avoid complete discharge. When the low battery alarm or the battery display drops suddenly or the display is abnormal, it should be charged immediately. The light of the battery will damage the battery and affect the battery life.

Again, batteries are the heart of electric aerial work equipment, and the importance of battery maintenance is self-evident. Due to the cold weather in winter, special attention should be paid to the maintenance of the battery. The battery capacity is based on an outdoor temperature of 25°C. If the temperature drops by 1°C, the battery capacity will drop by 1%. In winter, the performance and capacity of the battery are in a reduced state. If the battery cycle ability is poor, the battery will fall into the predicament of not being fully charged and starving quickly. Under the same operating conditions, the duration of winter will be shorter than that of summer.
It is normal that batteries of the same specification will be used for one or two hours less in winter than in summer, and it is necessary to replenish them in time.
Battery maintenance in winter requires three charges: first, charge the device overnight after use, second, use the noon break to recharge, and finally charge the idle device once a month.

Finally, if you use the platform outdoors in winter, you must pay attention to the influence of wind and take safety measures.
In addition, pay attention to whether there is ice on the ground. If so, remove the ice before using the platform to avoid accidents.
