Crane Circular Electromagnet

1. Principle

The electromagnetic chuck is an electromagnetic fixture, which fixes the workpiece by the suction force generated by the chuck body after the electromagnetic coil is energized.

The electromagnetic chuck is composed of iron core, coil, panel and bracket.

The electromagnet composed of the coil and the iron core is the main part of the electromagnetic chuck.

2. Structure

The common structure types of electromagnetic chucks are rectangular, circular, etc. The rectangular magnetic poles are divided into vertical and horizontal arrangements.

The rectangular magnetic poles are arranged vertically, which is suitable for fixing larger workpieces; the rectangular magnetic poles are arranged horizontally, which is suitable for fixing and processing smaller workpieces.

The circular suction cup is suitable for fixing ring-shaped workpieces or workpieces with complex shapes.

3. Install

There are hoisting screw holes on both sides of the rectangular electromagnetic sucker, which can be hoisted by screwing in T-shaped screws during installation. Fix it on the worktable with T-shaped blocks and screws, connect the DC power supply and ground wire on the machine tool, and then place the suction cup on the plane. Fine grinding once to ensure the parallelism of the top surface to the bottom surface.

When the workpiece is adsorbed, as long as the two adjacent magnetic poles are overlapped, a sufficient positioning suction force can be obtained, and the grinding process can be carried out.

Through the machine button, the magnetization and demagnetization of the workpiece can be realized.

4. Precautions for use

(1) The surface of the electromagnetic chuck should be wiped clean before use to avoid scratches.

(2) It should not be seriously bumped, so as not to affect the accuracy.

(3) After use, it should be wiped clean and coated with anti-rust oil to prevent rust.

(4) When using the electromagnetic chuck alone, there should be a ground wire to avoid electric leakage and hurt people.

5. Use performance

The electronically controlled strong suction cup can be used continuously, even if it works continuously for more than 20 hours a day, there will be no failure, and no maintenance is required;

Ordinary sucker permanent magnets will have a drop in suction after about half a year of use, while using electromagnetic suckers can only work for a few hours a day, and the equipment is prone to work, requiring frequent replacement and maintenance of internal components.
