18 Operating Rules for Outdoor Cranes - Gantry Crane
1. Before driving, carefully check whether the mechanical equipment, electrical parts and protective safety devices are intact and reliable. If the controller, brake, limiter, electric bell, emergency switch and other main accessories fail, it is strictly forbidden to lift.
2. You must obey the command of the signalman, but you should stop immediately when the emergency stop signal is issued by anyone.
3. The driver must operate after confirming the command signal, and ring the bell before driving.
4. When approaching the winch limiter, large or small vehicles approach the terminal or meet adjacent driving vehicles, the speed should be slow. It is not allowed to use reversing instead of braking, limiter instead of parking switch, and emergency switch instead of ordinary switch.
5. Walk and go up and down on the specified safe walkway, special platform or escalator. It is not allowed to walk on both sides of the cart track except for maintenance. Walking on the trolley tracks is strictly prohibited. Do not cross from one crane to another.
6. When the work is stopped, it is not allowed to hang the lifting objects in the air to stay. During operation, if there are people on the ground or the hanging parts are dropped, the bell should be sounded to warn. It is strictly forbidden for hanging objects to pass over people's heads. Lifting objects should not be too high from the ground.
7. When two overhead bridge cranes lift an object at the same time, they must obey the command and keep pace.
8. During operation, a certain distance should be kept between the gantry crane and the gantry crane.
9. The overhaul gantry crane should lean on a safe place, cut off the power supply, and put up the warning sign of "prohibition and gate". The ground should be fenced and a "No Access" sign should be hung.
10. When hoisting heavy tonnage objects, you should try lifting a little off the ground first to confirm that the hanging is stable and the brakes are good, then raise and run slowly. Do not operate three control handles at the same time.
11. When the 15 ton gantry crane is running, no one is allowed to go up and down. It is also not allowed to overhaul and adjust during operation.
12. If a sudden power failure occurs during operation, the switch handle must be placed at "0". Do not leave the cab if the lifting parts are not put down or the locks are not unhooked.
13. When the suspension part slides down due to a sudden failure during operation, emergency measures must be taken to land in a place where there is no one.
14. When the open-air gantry crane encounters storms, lightning strikes or strong winds above grade six, it should stop working, cut off the power supply, and the front and rear wheels should be locked firmly.
15. There should be sufficient lighting for night work.
16. In addition to implementing the above provisions, the gantry crane should also pay attention to whether there are obstacles on the track when driving; when lifting tall objects that hinder the line of sight, special personnel should be set up on both sides to monitor and command.
Seventeen, the driver must earnestly do "ten not hanging".
① Do not lift the load beyond the rated load;
② The command signal is unclear, the weight is unknown, and the light is dim;
③ The sling and accessories are not tightly bound, and do not hang if they do not meet the safety rules;
④ If the gantry crane hangs heavy objects directly for processing, it will not be hung.
⑤ Crooked pulling and oblique hanging;
⑥ Do not hang people standing on the workpiece or live animals floating on the workpiece;
⑦ Explosive items such as oxygen cylinders and acetylene generators are not suspended;
⑧ Do not hang if the notch with edges and corners is not properly padded;
⑨ Objects buried in the ground are not hung;
⑩ Do not lift if the liquid or fluid is too full.
18. After the work is completed, the gantry crane should stop at the specified position, raise the hook, drive the trolley to both ends of the track, put the control handle at "0" position, and cut off the power supply.
