2. It is strictly forbidden to overload the steel wire rope during use, and it should not be subjected to impact force. When bundling or lifting objects, be careful not to make the steel wire rope directly contact with the sharp edge of the fast mouth of the object, and pad them at the contact point. Use woodblocks, canvas, sacks or other padding to prevent equipment and personal accidents from being damaged by the edges and corners of the object.
 

3. During the use of the wire rope, if the length is insufficient, it must be connected with a shackle. It is strictly forbidden to use the wire rope end to thread a thin wire rope to lengthen the lifting object to avoid the resulting shear force.
 

4. There should be no cracks and gaps on the edges of the pulleys used for wire ropes.
 

5. During the use of the steel wire rope, especially the steel wire rope should not rub against other objects, and should not be dragged obliquely with the edge of the steel edge, so as not to cut the steel wire rope by the edges and corners of the steel plate, which will directly affect the service life of the steel wire rope.
 

6. When using steel wire rope on high-temperature objects, heat insulation measures must be taken, because the strength of steel wire rope will be greatly reduced after being subjected to high temperature.
 

7. After the steel wire rope has been used for a period of time, it must be lubricated. On the one hand, it can prevent the steel wire rope from rusting. Sliding friction, especially when the wire rope is subjected to bending force, this friction is more exciting, and this friction can be reduced by adding lubricating oil.
 

8. When storing the wire rope, clean the dirt on the wire rope according to the above method, apply lubricating oil, coil it well, store it in a dry place, and place a wooden board or sleeper under the wire rope. Regular inspection must be carried out.
 

9. During the use of the wire rope, special attention should be paid to prevent the wire rope from contacting the welding wire. After the electric shock, the steel wire rope will be damaged, which will affect the smooth progress of the operation.
 

10. During the use of the wire rope, you must always pay attention to check whether it is broken or damaged and whether it is used, or you need to replace it with a new rope to ensure safety.
 

Scrap standards for wire ropes:
 

1. The steel wire rope should be scrapped when there are 7-8 broken wires within one pitch.
 

2. The wire rope is worn out and its diameter decreases. If it exceeds 40% of the diameter of the wire rope, it should be scrapped.
 

3. During the use of the steel wire rope, the entire strand of the steel wire rope will often break or the core of the steel wire rope will be squeezed out, resulting in structural damage. At this time, the steel wire rope should be scrapped.
 

4. When transporting or hoisting molten metal, hot materials, steel wire ropes containing acid, flammable and toxic objects, the steel wire ropes should be scrapped if they are corroded by chemical media.
 

5. The steel wire ropes used for overloading shall not be used again. When the appearance of the steel wire rope is seriously deformed, the structure is damaged, the rope core is extruded or there is obvious crimping, and the accumulation phenomenon should be discarded.
