How to Move A Single Girder Crane?

Some customers need to move the single-girder crane used in one workshop to another workshop due to production needs. It is not clear how to move it. The editor will share the single-girder crane moving plan and precautions for the next customer.

Due to production needs, a 10-ton single-girder crane needs to be moved. Originally, there were 3 cranes in the painting workshop, but they still could not meet the production demand. It is planned to transfer a single-girder crane temporarily unused in the riveting and welding workshop next door for use.

Our company arranges technicians to survey the use site, first of all, to measure the span of the driving track of the two workshops. The span of this single-girder crane is fixed at 22.5 meters. When moving, it must be considered that the span of the track matches the span of the vehicle. Secondly, it is necessary to measure whether the width of the track is consistent, and the width of the track is related to the size of the wheel.

According to the investigation by technicians, the span of the track is the same. But the width of the track is different, one is a 38KG track, and the other is a 30KG track. To replace the wheels before the transfer, the wheels with the original 70mm wheel grooves need to be changed to 90mm.

1. Turn off the power of the single beam crane and remove the power supply.

2. Use a crane to lift the single-girder crane slowly, and place the single-girder crane on the vehicle-mounted platform on the ground in the moving direction.

3. Replace the wheels.

4. Move the single-girder crane with changed wheels to the painting workshop.

5. Use a crane to lift the single-girder crane and place it on the track.

6. Install the power supply and debug the single girder crane.

In addition, whether the elevation of the track surface is the same should be considered when moving the single-girder crane. If the track of the transfer workshop is higher than the original track, the length of the wire rope cannot meet the hoisting requirements, and the wire rope needs to be replaced. Safety should be paid attention to during the whole transfer process, and the transfer area should be guarded and isolated, and irrelevant personnel should not enter the cordon.

When moving a single-girder crane, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the span of the crane is the same, whether the use of the track affects the wheels, and whether the lifting height is appropriate.
