For hoists operating in special environments, such as dust, humidity, heat, cold, etc., in addition to conventional protective measures, protective measures in special environments should be considered.

1. Suitable for use in dusty environments.

The driver's cab should be operated in a closed manner to protect the driver's health.

The protection level of the crane motor and main electrical appliances should be increased accordingly to IP44. Usually the motors and electrical appliances used in hoist cranes have a protection level of IP44. According to the degree of dust, their sealing should be strengthened accordingly, that is, the protection (mainly dustproof) should be increased accordingly. IP54 or IP64.

2. Suitable for use in humid environments.

Generally speaking, the protection level of hoist cranes is IP44 when the ambient humidity is not greater than 85%. However, there are more and more requirements to adapt to occasions with higher humidity, and there are many requirements for a humidity requirement of 100%. For example, nuclear power plants use high-pressure water to flush the core. In situations where there is nuclear dust contamination in the equipment and high humidity requirements, the protection level must be improved. Therefore, at a humidity of 85~100, the electrical protection level of the crane motor should be IP55.

For motors larger than 1OKW, in humid environments, a preheating and drying device should be added. Rainproof covers should be installed on the motors and electrical appliances of hoist cranes working outdoors.

3. Applied to high temperature ring mirrors.

① The driver's cab should be a closed driver's cab with an electric fan or be equipped with an air conditioner. carry out testing.

② Install a temperature control device, such as a thermistor, on the motor windings and casing. When the temperature exceeds a certain value, the power supply is cut off and protected, or a special fan is added to the motor for cooling.

4. Suitable for cold ring mirrors.

① Use a closed cab, which should be equipped with a heater.

② Clear the rails, ladders, ice and snow on the walking platform promptly to prevent slips and falls.

③The main force-bearing rods of the crane should be made of low alloy steel or ordinary carbon steel, no less than Q235 (below -20℃).

5. Press the ground to operate.

Non-follower operation, ground operation should adopt non-follower operation. The flashlight door does not move laterally with the crane. The flashlight door is not suspended under the switch box of the electric hoist, but is hung separately on the slide. This prevents the flashlight door from moving laterally with the crane.
