Basic classification of bridge cranes

Overhead crane is one of the most exported crane types from Dejun Cranes. It is a rail-running crane. The rated lifting capacity of our customized overhead crane can range from a few tons to several hundred tons.

The basic form of bridge crane is the universal hook bridge crane. Other forms of bridge cranes are basically derived and developed on the basis of the universal hook bridge, mainly including the following:

1. Hook Overhead Crane

Universal hook bridge crane is composed of metal structure, cart running mechanism, trolley running mechanism, hoisting mechanism, electrical appliances and control system and driver's cab.

Its retrieval device is a hook.

Rated lifting weight: 5 ton - 320 ton

These cranes can load, unload and move materials in a wide variety of operating environments.

2. Grab Overhead Crane

The device of the grab bridge crane is a grab bucket, which is connected with the grab bucket lifting, hoisting mechanism and opening and closing mechanism by wire ropes. 

Except for the hoisting and closing mechanism, the structural components of this crane are the same as those of the general-purpose hook bridge crane.

Rated lifting weight: 3 ton - 20 ton

This type of crane is mainly used for loading, unloading and hoisting operations of bulk cargo, scrap steel, wood, etc.

3. Electromagnetic Overhead Crane

The basic structure of the electromagnetic bridge crane is the same as that of the hook bridge crane. 

The difference is that a DC lifting electromagnet (also known as electromagnetic chuck) is hung on the hook, which is used to lift the magnetically conductive ferrous metal and its products.

Usually, the AC power is converted into DC power through the motor-generator set on the bridge platform or the thyristor DC box installed in the driver's cab, 

and then the DC power is converted into DC power through the special cable reel set on the trolley frame. The flexible cable is sent to the lifting electromagnet.

4. Dual-purpose overhead crane

there are 3 types of dual-purpose overhead cranes: Grab Hook Overhead Crane, Electromagnetic Hook Overhead Crane and Grab Electromagnetic Overhead Crane.

Its characteristic is that two sets of independent lifting mechanisms are installed on one trolley, one is for grabs, the other is for hooks (or one is for electromagnetic suckers, and the other is for hooks, or one is for hooks. 

One set is for grab bucket and one set is for electromagnetic chuck).

5. Double trolley overhead crane

this kind of crane is basically the same as the hook bridge crane, except that two trolleys with the same lifting capacity are installed on the bridge.

This model is used for lifting and loading and unloading long objects.
