Among the customers who purchase and purchase cranes, customers often ask us a question: 

our factory is an old factory, and the space for installing cranes was not considered in the design at that time, resulting in the failure of the factory building to build a bridge. 

I want to install an overhead crane in the old factory building, but the installation height is not enough. Is there a good solution for this situation? 

(The workshop is not adjusted, and the cantilever crane is not considered, only the bridge crane can meet the working conditions)

In order to be able to solve the questions of such customers, we generally provide two solutions to this kind of problem:

1. The European-style Bridge Crane is preferred

Comparing European bridge cranes and traditional bridge cranes, it is not difficult to find that the electrical and main girder gear designs of traditional bridge cranes are relatively large. Although they are very suitable for use in low temperature conditions all year round, they are relatively cumbersome and cannot be installed in old workshops. and very inappropriate to use.

The European bridge crane perfectly avoids these shortcomings. Its self-weight is 30%-40% lighter than the traditional crane, the pressure wheel is small, the headroom is high, and the height is more than 1 meter lower than that of the traditional crane, and it can work closer to the ground. The higher lifting height actually increases the effective working space of the existing plant.

Therefore, compared with traditional bridge cranes, European bridge cranes save construction costs and are more suitable for workshops with low space.

2. The second choice is Low Headroom Overhead Crane

Low headroom overhead cranes are specially designed for low headroom workshops.

It is mainly composed of steel plate, I-beam beam, welded end beam, low headroom electric hoist and traveling mechanism.

The low headroom electric hoist completes hoisting items along the lower flange of the main beam I-beam, and is widely used in factories, warehouses, stockyards and other hoisting places that have requirements on the height of the workshop.

The difference between a low headroom overhead crane and a conventional overhead crane is the way the electric hoist operates.

The electric hoist equipped with the low headroom overhead crane runs on the low flange plate of the girder, and the motor of the crane runs on one side of the girder, which increases the working space of the hook and reduces the height and cost of the workshop.
