The European-style bridge crane is a mechanical device that is placed horizontally above the workshop, warehouse and open-air storage yard and is used to lift various objects. It is usually called a "crane" or "crane".
 

It is the most widely used lifting machinery in machinery industry, metallurgical industry and chemical industry. In modern industrial enterprises, it is one of the important equipment to realize the mechanization and automation of the production process, reduce heavy physical labor, and improve production efficiency.

The following safety items should be paid attention to when using bridge cranes:
 

1. The driving must be in a normal state, especially the safety devices, such as brake mechanisms, sound and light, signals, interlocking devices, etc. must be sensitive and intact.
 

2. During the working process, the operator should concentrate on idling before hoisting, and then hoisting. The lifting object should be 100-150mms above the ground. If it is found that the lifting object is not tightly bound, it should be tied again.
 

The signal bell should be sounded before driving; hanging objects must not pass over the head of the person. When the crane is in motion, it is strictly forbidden to repair, check, refuel and wipe the parts. If a fault is found during operation, it must be stopped immediately.
 

3. When the work is terminated, the crane should be parked on the parking line, and the hook should be raised to the right position. No heavy objects should be hung on the hook.
 

Put all the controllers and joysticks to the zero position, pull off the power switch, and lock the cab door.
 

4. Bridge cranes must be equipped with reliable and sensitive safety devices. Generally, there are buffers, limiters (travel limiter, lifting limiter), lifting limiter, windproof rail clamp, etc.
 

5. The shells of all live parts of the crane should be reliably grounded to avoid accidental electric shocks to operators.
 

When the trolley track is not welded to the main girder, welding grounding should also be adopted, and the step-down transformer should be grounded on the low-voltage side according to regulations.
 

6. The bridge crane shall not be lifted under the following conditions;
 

1) There is no command or the command signal is incorrect.
 

2) The driving equipment is defective or the safety device fails.
 

3) Overloaded lifting or unclear equipment quality.
 

4) A person stands on or under the lifting object and hangs the person with a crane hook.
 

5) The light is dim and the vision is unclear.
 

6) The hoisting object has sharp edges and corners or is pulled obliquely, and no safety measures have been taken.
