Chinese Hot Rolled Steel Coils Price Update

We often use hot-rolled steel coils as the raw materials to manufacture lifting cranes. Therefore, the coil price will influence the price of our crane machines. This week, the market price of hot-rolled coil in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region remained stable with a slight upward trend. The price in Handan and Shijiazhuang rose by 10 RMB per ton compared with last week, while the prices in Beijing, Tianjin, and Tangshan remained unchanged. However, the national average price decreased by 6 RMB per ton to 3,304 RMB per ton compared with last week.
The capacity utilization rate of hot-rolled coil steel mills was 80.13%, down by 1.15% compared with last week. The weekly output was 3.1366 million tons, a decrease of 45,000 tons compared with last week. The inventory in steel mills was 775,200 tons, an increase of 9,000 tons compared with last week.

Hot Rolled Coil Market Expectations
From the supply perspective, the number of hot-rolled coil steel mills under maintenance increased this week, and both the operating rate and capacity utilization rate of steel mills declined. Moreover, it is expected that the planned maintenance volume of steel mills in December may still increase slightly compared with this month. Currently, the supply and demand contradiction in the hot-rolled coil market has intensified. Although the export situation remains relatively good, the vacuum period of macro policies has once again led to a depressed market sentiment. Overall, it is expected that the price of hot-rolled coil in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region will remain volatile next week.
