3 Tips For Gantry Crane Selecting
1. In general, if the lifting capacity is less than 50t and the span is within 35m without special usage requirements, a single girder gantry crane should be selected. If the requirements are for a wider leg span, higher working speed, or frequent lifting of heavy and long items, a double girder gantry crane should be selected.
2. The span of a gantry crane is an important factor affecting the crane's weight. In the selection process, under the premise of meeting the equipment usage conditions and complying with the span series standard, the span should be reduced as much as possible.
3. In operation, the external dimensions of the gantry crane should leave certain space dimensions between the crane and the goods and vehicles to facilitate loading and unloading operations. Generally, when vehicles are loaded and unloaded within the span, they should maintain a distance of 0.7m or more from the leg of the crane. The hoisting equipment should maintain a distance of 0.5m or more from the vehicle when not in use. When the goods pass through the leg of the crane, there should be a distance of 0.5m or more.
