3. Crane load of 3 ton gantry:
In the field of crane design, it is very important to calculate the design load accurately. According to DIN1055 Part 1 and DASt Guideline 008, the crane design load is divided into a primary load (H) and an additional load (Z). The main loads include permanent loads, live loads (including vibrations) of the crane's operating wheels and, in special cases, horizontal lateral loads. Additional loads include the lateral load of the runway, the horizontal lateral load of the crane track beam, and the horizontal load generated along the runway due to starting or braking.
Primary loads are an integral part of crane design because they are permanent and require special attention. The limitation of live loads and the treatment of snow loads are also important in design considerations. The combination of permanent load and lifting load in the most unfavorable position must be considered when calculating the live load of the crane wheel.
The vibration coefficient ρ is used to calculate the influence of vibration on the crane track when the crane and trolley are moving. In addition, when multiple cranes are running at the same time, the maximum vibration coefficient ρ*R is used to calculate the stress.
Additional loads include all non-permanent forces affecting the structure. For example, horizontal loads along the runway due to starting or braking, as well as potential tilt or collision forces.
Special attention also needs to be paid to loads in special cases, such as changes in wheel loads due to the tilt of a trolley with a rigid guide lift load when driving against obstacles, and cushioning end forces in the event of a crane collision with a stop.
Finally, security verification is an integral part of the process. Whether verifying primary or additional loads, it is essential to ensure that structural components can withstand stress and have sufficient safety margins.
