Use and maintenance of 10 ton overhead crane wire rope

 

Wire rope is the most commonly used flexible part of 10 ton overhead crane, mainly used for lifting mechanism. The lifting of the hook set can be completed by winding the reel and the pulley block. The wire rope is the most direct component of the electric hoist crane.

 

If the wire rope cannot be used correctly, there will be a great safety hazard.

Wire rope electric hoists can be divided into five grades according to their strength grades. When lifting goods of the same weight, the higher the strength level, the smaller the diameter of the wire rope that can be selected. There are two kinds of wire rope core fillers: hemp core and steel core. Different application occasions should choose different wire rope cores.

 

Hemp core wire rope can store a certain amount of lubricating oil. The lubricating oil on the surface of the wire rope can be replenished for a long time, reducing the wear of the wire rope and prolonging the service life of the wire rope. Hemp core wire rope is generally used at room temperature, and can be used between -20°C and 40°C.

 

A steel core wire rope consists of a wire and several strands of wire rope in the center. Compared with hemp core wire rope, steel core wire rope has higher wear resistance, kneading resistance, higher cracking strength, higher service life and lower flexibility. Steel core wire ropes are generally used in places with high ambient temperature, such as metallurgical places. The price of steel core wire rope is generally higher than that of hemp core. Therefore, under normal operating conditions, wire rope electric hoist cranes are still dominated by hemp core wire ropes, which are also convenient for construction installation.

 

According to the contact mode of the wire rope, the wire rope can be divided into point contact mode, line contact mode and surface contact mode. The three methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and can be selected according to the actual situation.

 

Generally, bridge and gantry cranes generally use steel wire ropes with a strength grade of 1670mpa, hemp core and smooth surface.

 

15 ton overhead-cranes

 

When the 10 ton overhead crane uses the wire rope, it must not be knotted. The wear of the wire rope should be checked frequently. If it is found that about one-third of the wire rope is cracked, the wire rope must be replaced. When selecting wire ropes, the safety factor of the wire ropes should be judged according to the actual working level of the crane. The winding of the wire rope in the drum must be correct and there must be no disordered rope.

 

In addition, the wire rope must be securely fastened to the drum. The fixed ring is generally not less than 2 turns. When the hook is lowered to the bottom, the drum must have at least two or three safety rings. When the wire rope passes through the drum and pulley, the ratio of the diameter of the drum and pulley to the diameter of the wire rope should meet the requirements of the specification to avoid reducing the service life of the wire rope.

 

During use, the steel wire rope should also be lubricated regularly, try not to subject the steel wire rope to severe impact force, and do not overload it. The correct use of wire rope can add safety points to the 10 ton overhead crane.
